Couple embracing on rocky shore at sunset with thank you text.

We love meeting badass humans like you

So...now what?

We'll be in touch with you as soon as we can (and we whole-heartedly mean that).

Why?

Because taking part in new adventures give us fucking life.

Because photographing people doing awesome shit is in our veins.

Because when you're booking a shoot or wedding with us, you're booking an experience.

And we just can't wait to see what epic-ness we'll encounter with you.

So, sit tight, grab a beer...or a coffee...or both...and we'll  talk to you soon. In the meantime, check out some cool stuff below to get amped for your shoot or wedding.

Sickkkk Wedding Tips No One talks about

Weddings are hard to plan. Let's make it a little more fun, shall we?

1. Plan a kick-ass getting ready space. One with a lot of light, a lot of room to chill, and...dare we say...a little character! It will make the getting ready portion of your day so unique and memorable for you and your closest people. And your images will be even more badass because of it. *Chef's KISS*

2. Write each other letters to read that day from your separate getting ready spaces. Do it. It's the best feeling in the world to read that thing.

3. Let go. Of worry. Of stress. Of the what if's. Of perfection. Of the "have to haves". Instead, focus on the moments, the atmosphere, your besties, and the precious minutes that make up your magical day. No matter how it ends up panning out. No matter if it rains or shines. No matter if you brought the wrong socks to the hotel. Party anyway, and you will have the DAY of your LIFE. Promise.

4. Keep your family formals list smaller and more intentional. You will thank yourself on that day like you NEVER thought you would! Trust. Me.

5. Your dress WILL survive the grass, the dance floor, the sand, the groomsman stepping on it by accident. So run through that field hand in hand after 4 glasses of Chardonnay with it trailing behind you. Swish it back and fourth wildly on that dance floor. Let it catch a bit on your shoe as you run into your love's arms under the twinkling starlight. Because what is life without those epic fucking moments?

6. Do WHAT YOU WANT. It's almost 2022 and the standard traditions are no more. Isn't that the best? Do cool shit if that's what you want. Get that ice cream truck. Set up those cottage-core tables in the forest. Fly in on a hot air balloon. Get married on a cliff. This is your day. Do it your way. Adam and I got married in 2013 and at that time, "traditional" ways of doing things was still pretty normal. And we're SO not those people. But we stuck to the "norm" anyway. And I sure wish we hadn't.

7. Two vendors that have GOT TO to slap are your caterer/food and your DJ. Your DJ runs the whole night. Make sure they've got "the stuff". (We know a few who absolutely do and we'll tell you all about them!) And your food is, for whatever reason, a core memory for your guests. They will remember that shit. I couldn't tell you the science behind it. But I don't make the rules, I'm just here to spit knowledge about them.

Portrait tips that rule

Planning a portrait session? Sweet. Let's up it a few levels.

1. Your wardrobe can truly enhance your images if planned right. Coordinate color schemes instead of matching (and we especially recommend jewel-tones and neutral tones). Add accessories and layers for texture and depth (suspenders, sweaters, rings, etc). Wear fabric that FLOWS instead of restricts. Skip on the jeans. And DEFINITELY skip the sneakers.

2. Hydrate and moisturize. Look, I'm not that girl with an epic skin care routine. I clean my face, sometimes I use lotion. And, I'm done. So I get it. But I'm here to preach of how hydrating throughout the week before your shoot and drinking tons of water will prevent those dark circles and help your skin glow. Moisturizing your face makes it nice and soft and camera-ready. Just be sure not to try anything new close to the shoot.

3. Bring backups. Of like...everything. Things can and will get dirty. We're going to go in the water, roll in the sand or grass, and sit on every rock and patch of meadow I can find. Because, trust me, it's BEAUTIFUL for your imagery. So be sure to bring clothes to change into after your session, towels, a change of shoes, and anything else you can think of. If it's cold or if your shoes for the session are fancier, be sure to bring a jacket/sweater and a comfortable pair of shoes for walking from spot to spot.

4. Even if you're planning a night out to dinner once we're done, eat something before your shoot so you're not hungry during it. And be sure to pack water bottles for the car as well. (But don't drink too much on the way over, since we hardly shoot near bathrooms!)

5. Enjoy, have fun, and know that although it seems like all of my clients are professional models, almost none of them are actually used to being in front of the camera. So why do they look like they've done this their whole lives? Because we're chill, we have fun together, we guide them into flattering poses and actions while still chatting it up and hanging out low-key. So there's no stress. And we'll be doing all of that with you too. So, don't worry - you'll be right up there looking like an experienced model soon as well.
